Lovin' Life, No. 12
Hey guys! As I gear up for WrestlemMania (I get chills every time I think about it) and the first ever BunnyMania Match, I sit here writing you with many different things on my mind (so I’ll apologize in advance if things are random and all over the place). I want to continue to open this blog once again by giving you a little inspiration from three quotes I absolutely love …“Fear can keep us up all night long, but faith makes one fine pillow.”“Faith isn’t faith until it’s all you’re holding on to!”“You block your dreams when you allow your fear to grow bigger than your faith!”Faith: My faith continues to grow each and every week as I step into the ring. A lot of that has to do with you, our fans. You guys continue to show me more and more love and I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart. I also believe in myself, which I think each and every one of you should do as well. A lot of people have been sending me emails addressing self-confidence issues, issues on how to deal with others, etc. You know what? It comes down to this.Every single person in the world has something good about them (you just have to look inside of yourself and focus on it). On the flip side of that, we can always, and I mean always, find at least one good thing about others (yes, sometimes it’s hard and sometimes we have to look harder than we would like). The difference is, you can either focus on the negative or you can focus on the positive.I choose to focus on the positive. If you think about it, you can complain about a lot, but nine times out of 10 it still doesn’t get you anywhere. A lot of times, I have other girls on SmackDown (Victoria and Maryse in particular), other people in my everyday life, people at home, people while we are on the road, etc. that try to get me down. But, you know what? That’s fine! I’ve got faith – and I plan on keeping it! You can try, but you won’t knock me down!SmackDown Divas Competition: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! That’s for all of you who have cheered me on and sent in your text votes for me. It’s coming down to crunch time now and I can only hope that I impress you guys enough to continue voting for me until I win that photo shoot and custom made bike from Beverly Hills Choppers! How awesome would that be?!? I don’t know what’s in store for next week (or who will be getting voted off for that matter), but I do know this: I will put my heart and soul into whatever lies ahead!Ric Flair: Many of you have asked about how I would feel if he were forced to retire. Man, I don’t know. You are talking about a man who I have idolized for quite some time. You are talking about one of the most amazing, most talented, most charismatic, genuine guys I have ever met. You are talking about someone who I loved since I first laid eyes on him. You are talking about the man who I mimicked even throughout college. During batting practice, I would hit a shot and yell “WOOOOOOOOO!!!” I know, I’m a dork, but what can I say? He is, and always will be, the man! I will be very sad if Ric is EVER forced to end his career. I love Ric dearly and am truly honored to call him my friend. He has taught me so much and for that, I will always be grateful. I cannot wait to see him be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Honestly, I can’t believe I have even been blessed to have this job and be able to say that. I’m sure I’ll be tearing up through most, if not all, of the ceremony. I’m not sure the exact feelings I would have, if I ever have to experience it, but I do know he would truly be missed on TV, and will always a part of the WWE family!Hottest New Finisher: Thanks for all the congrats! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, my new finisher (as seen on Layla and Victoria) was named the hottest new finisher in this month’s WWE Magazine. Yay!!!! Many of you have asked me what the name of it is and so: I like to refer to it as the “Wings of Love!” I hope you all like it. Such a sweet name, but such a devastating move!Personal time when not on the road: What do I do when I’m at home? What are my hobbies? Well, I guess you could say it depends on how many days I’m actually home once I get home, how tired I am and whether or not I have anything I have to get done. Whatever the case, there’s always a lot of laundry to do!Any chance I get, I like to go watch any local sports events. That’s probably my favorite. I went to the high school baseball game recently, which my two cousins coach, and a middle school basketball game at the middle school where I used to teach. Tonight there’s a softball home game, so I’m going to try and catch that as well! Yeah, I love competition whether I’m in it or watching it! The weather is getting perfect here in Florida to do one of my other favorite things in the entire world – lay out in the sun! I have absolutely no problem whatsoever being completely worthless and soaking up the sun all day long (which I plan on doing once I finish my blog). Other than that, I will spend time trying to figure out any and every way to improve both inside and outside of the ring!I hope you all enjoyed. I'm really interested to see what a person who has everything going for them might wish for. Hopefully you can reply. - Paul B

Comment: I read 'Lovin' Life No. 9' and I shall print that article and keep it for when the going gets tough. I've been through some very hard times myself at work; I won’t bore you with the details. But I stuck to my guns for the sake of my career and reputation and managed to move on. Unfortunately, this matter has negatively affected my self-confidence. So, I find your articles very positive and inspiring. I guess you've been through some hard times as well. Your last paragraph is awesome… "Did I have people who said I couldn’t be a Diva? Do I have people who (usually don’t even know me) continue to say bad things about me to try and hurt me? Have I, at times, doubted myself and wanted to give up? Yes, yes and yes!!!! But you know what? That’s what makes me try even harder! Keep a smile on your face, kill people with kindness, be brave, classy and don’t let the negative keep you from being true to yourself! Dream big and love life."

And, now on another note, I've read some places on WWE.com that you played softball. I play softball for a 14-and-under fastpitch travel softball team. Did you play in high school or travel ball? I know that even though I missed a lot of parties, I wouldn't trade this softball experience for anything – what about you? And, keeping with the sports theme, when did you start wrestling and realize you wanted to be become a Diva?

Question: I enjoyed reading your blog, it's very honest and truthful. You define faith with heart and soul, which is true, in addition to providing courage, belief and determination. In order to reach the top, everyone starts from the bottom and struggles while climbing the ladder. You seem like a person with a good heart, a positive attitude and a good mind (moral, ethical, with common sense). Focus on the good and ignore the negativity. There are people that are HATERS. Their goals are to see people fall and fail in life. With hard work and dedication, anyone can succeed and make their dreams come true. With friends and family by your side, you will go far in life.
Basically, you are a role model and an icon. I give you a lot of credit and respect for your performance in and out of the ring. Every day/every week, you put out at least 120 percent of your blood, sweat and tears to entertain the people, That's GIRL POWER! Keep up the FANTASTIC JOB! <3<3
As for your outfits weekly, are you a fashion designer? Do you create your own wardrobe? You look FABULOUS! As the camera lights ricochet off you, it gives a glare which is very nice. What's missing around your waist is the WWE Women’s Championship. Why don't you proceed toward it? Make that your main focus. I think you make a better wrestler as an individual (without Chuck). You mentioned that you are a good friend and loyal to your friendship with him. You are who you are; the way you treat someone, you would expect the same in return, but it doesn't work that way. You can guide people but cannot change them. It’s up to them if they want to change. Life is full of surprises; you will learn something new each day and expect the unexpected.
Your new finisher is a total knock out! Impressive I say, it leaves your competitors unconscious as soon you apply it, similar to a face blaster. By the way, why isn’t there a Women’ Tag Team Championship??

Happy Diva’s Day! That has a nice ring to it. I hope all of you have been doing well. I just got home from being on our South American tour (which I will get to shortly), for 17 days! To say I am beyond tired is an understatement! I have tomorrow to rest, and then it’s back on a plane for an appearance in Louisville Friday night. Can we say lots of laundry to do before then????!!!! Once again, I received a lot of repeat questions, so I am going to answer them in blog format. I hope you enjoy. Keep the questions coming! On Chuck ... Thank you all for your concern about how Chuck has been treating me. As I told him, I am finished with him. He has completely lost it. (And I’m beginning to think that he never did have "it" in the first place.) I will tell you this; I promise, and I never break a promise, that he will not hurt me. Plus, if he wants to keep messing with me, he better remember that two can play that game!
Divas/Superstars … A lot of you asked me who my favorite Divas/Superstars (past or present) are, who I would choose to be stuck on a deserted island with, if there is anyone I never liked, etc. So, I thought it’d be fun to figure out who I really would want on a deserted island with me. Let’s see… Torrie Wilson – Simply put, she is one of my dearest and best friends. She is one of the most genuine, honest, funny, kind, caring people I have ever met – truly beautiful on the inside and out! Queen Sharmell – Though she plays a bad girl on TV, she is also one of my best friends. She is so intelligent, witty, and trustworthy. The list goes on. Victoria – Yes, I know. She is crazy! But crazy could come in handy on a deserted island. Plus, let me tell you, that girl is a one-woman show. Tommy Dreamer – Two words: Pure entertainment.Finlay – What can I say? He loves to fight! Not only does he love to fight, but he’s pretty darn good at it as well.
South American Tour … This was the first time we went to South America, and I can't wait to go back! To the fans – you were absolutely amazing. I don’t know that I have ever had more fun performing than we did in front of you guys. You are all so loyal, dedicated, crazy (in a good way), energetic and respectful. So with that, I say thanks. It’s not often we get anytime off when we are overseas. However, this tour we did have a couple of hours to spare on the day of our Ecuador show, which I totally took advantage of. Some of you complimented on the pictures you saw on WWE.com! I, along with a few others, went to a nearby volcano. We took a sky lift to the top of the mountain, which ended up putting us at 14,000 feet above elevation ... WHOA – the air got real thin, real quick! The volcano wasn’t active, but it was a beautiful sight. Finlay, Hornswoggle and I climbed/hiked in some places we probably shouldn’t have been hiking, but it sure was worth it! All in all, it was absolutely breathtaking. We were so high up that airplanes were actually flying below us! Crazy, huh?
In the ring & the women’s gold … To all of you who asked if I want to become the Women’s Champion, my answer is YES, YES, and YES! That is my ultimate goal that I do plan on accomplishing one day … hopefully sooner rather than later. No, I’m not afraid of The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix. Is she a great competitor? Yes! Is she talented in the ring? Yes! Do I think I can defend her given the chance! Heck yes! The journey I’ve been on the past three years has been nothing short of amazing. From the Diva Search, to training at Deep South, to being hospitalized twice (seven days the first time, 15 days and near death the last), to two broken ribs, a broken sternum, broken xiphoid process and many bumps and bruises, I will not give up until ALL of my goals are achieved. (Which does include wearing that pretty title around my waist.) I have faith, heart & soul … it’s gotten me this far, and I know that it can take me wherever I want to go.
Private lives and public criticism … This is a tough one to hit on, and I just hope you all respect me for being honest and open with what I’m about to say. So many people continue to ask what it’s like being in the spotlight, to have people say so many negative things about you, write things on the Internet that aren’t always true and continue to judge you without having ever even met you. I think I can speak for a lot of the Superstars/Divas on this one. It’s tough and a lot of times it’s a no-win situation for us. Ninety-nine percent of the time, we try to stop what we are doing (whether it be running to catch a flight, trying to have dinner with a friend, shopping with family, working out, etc.) to sign an autograph, snap a picture – whatever it is our fans want. After all, it is you guys who make our work fun and rewarding.
Now, that other one percent of the time … there are times when we have been flying for 17 hours straight, on the road anywhere from three to 18 days, already signed autographs for 20 minutes and/or taken pictures with a few people while eating dinner. It’s so hard to say no, and I apologize if I have ever given the wrong impression to any of my fans. I guess what I really want to say is that I hope you guys understand if any of the Superstars have ever not been able to spend the time with you that you may have wanted. I love you all so much and have the utmost respect for the support you give us. As for the negative stuff, it’s simple to me. My grandma always said, “Honey, you can’t focus on the negative, you have to stay focused on the positive.” It’s just that easy. Be true to yourself and eventually others will see you for who you are as well. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I think I’m about to take a nap now! It’s much needed and long overdue. As always, thanks for the compliments about my in-ring improvement, the encouragement you continue to give and the blessings you all have bestowed on me. South American Tour … This was the first time we went to South America, and I can't wait to go back! To the fans – you were absolutely amazing. I don’t know that I have ever had more fun performing than we did in front of you guys. You are all so loyal, dedicated, crazy (in a good way), energetic and respectful. So with that, I say thanks. It’s not often we get anytime off when we are overseas. However, this tour we did have a couple of hours to spare on the day of our Ecuador show, which I totally took advantage of. Some of you complimented on the pictures you saw on WWE.com! I, along with a few others, went to a nearby volcano. We took a sky lift to the top of the mountain, which ended up putting us at 14,000 feet above elevation ... WHOA – the air got real thin, real quick! The volcano wasn’t active, but it was a beautiful sight. Finlay, Hornswoggle and I climbed/hiked in some places we probably shouldn’t have been hiking, but it sure was worth it! All in all, it was absolutely breathtaking. We were so high up that airplanes were actually flying below us! Crazy, huh?
In the ring & the women’s gold … To all of you who asked if I want to become the Women’s Champion, my answer is YES, YES, and YES! That is my ultimate goal that I do plan on accomplishing one day … hopefully sooner rather than later. No, I’m not afraid of The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix. Is she a great competitor? Yes! Is she talented in the ring? Yes! Do I think I can defend her given the chance! Heck yes! The journey I’ve been on the past three years has been nothing short of amazing. From the Diva Search, to training at Deep South, to being hospitalized twice (seven days the first time, 15 days and near death the last), to two broken ribs, a broken sternum, broken xiphoid process and many bumps and bruises, I will not give up until ALL of my goals are achieved. (Which does include wearing that pretty title around my waist.) I have faith, heart & soul … it’s gotten me this far, and I know that it can take me wherever I want to go.
Private lives and public criticism … This is a tough one to hit on, and I just hope you all respect me for being honest and open with what I’m about to say. So many people continue to ask what it’s like being in the spotlight, to have people say so many negative things about you, write things on the Internet that aren’t always true and continue to judge you without having ever even met you. I think I can speak for a lot of the Superstars/Divas on this one. It’s tough and a lot of times it’s a no-win situation for us. Ninety-nine percent of the time, we try to stop what we are doing (whether it be running to catch a flight, trying to have dinner with a friend, shopping with family, working out, etc.) to sign an autograph, snap a picture – whatever it is our fans want. After all, it is you guys who make our work fun and rewarding.
Now, that other one percent of the time … there are times when we have been flying for 17 hours straight, on the road anywhere from three to 18 days, already signed autographs for 20 minutes and/or taken pictures with a few people while eating dinner. It’s so hard to say no, and I apologize if I have ever given the wrong impression to any of my fans. I guess what I really want to say is that I hope you guys understand if any of the Superstars have ever not been able to spend the time with you that you may have wanted. I love you all so much and have the utmost respect for the support you give us. As for the negative stuff, it’s simple to me. My grandma always said, “Honey, you can’t focus on the negative, you have to stay focused on the positive.” It’s just that easy. Be true to yourself and eventually others will see you for who you are as well. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I think I’m about to take a nap now! It’s much needed and long overdue. As always, thanks for the compliments about my in-ring improvement, the encouragement you continue to give and the blessings you all have bestowed on me. No matter if I’m in the squared circle, at home with family or friends, happy, sad, angry or mad … my heart shall not fear. I was about to begin answering my weekly questions from you, the wonderful fans, BUT then I decided to write a new blog commenting on/talking about many of the questions you submitted because I received so many duplicates this week!
I have faith that no matter what gets thrown our way in life, we can always overcome it if we put our heart and soul into whatever it may be. A lot of you have been commenting on my outfits that I have been wearing for the last 6-7 months. Thank you so much for all the kind words. "Faith" is simply a testament to remind me each and every day that I can do whatever I want to do ... which, for the record, DOES include wearing gold around my waist.
As for Chuck ... yes, he has officially lost his mind! I am finished, once and for all, accepting his stupid apologies. Whether it was an accident or not when he gave me a concussion, I am through being a true, loyal friend to him when I get nothing in return. He continues to blow up, lose his temper and get out of control and I am tired of it. So many of you are concerned; no, I am not scared of him. He may be a male, but he definitely isn’t a man! I promise … he will soon be put in his place if I have something to do with it.
My new finisher ... yes, I did debut my new finisher a few weeks ago on Layla! Pretty awesome, huh? I love it because it is so devastating! So many of you have told me how much you liked it and are wondering what I am going to name it. Sooner than later, you will all find out! To be continued. Thank goodness, I have a wonderful family who has always supported me in whatever I have chosen to do. Did I have people who said I couldn’t be a Diva? Do I have people who (usually don’t even know me) continue to say bad things about me to try and hurt me? Have I, at times, doubted myself and wanted to give up? Yes, yes and yes!!!! But you know what? That’s what makes me try even harder! Keep a smile on your face, kill people with kindness, be brave, classy and don’t let the negative keep you from being true to yourself! I idolize Trish Stratus and think she is the greatest Women's Champion of all time. Watching you reminds me of her. You seem to have worked very hard to be more than just a pretty face and to prove that you actually can wrestle. So my question is this: Do you ever plan on going for the Women's Championship, and if so, which wrestler (past or present) would you most like to have a title match against?

You planted it so well! What was it like to debut a new finisher in front of the crowd? I liked your outfit, too, the cross thing on the back looked good. I wish WWE would do a Diva trade or something to get you on Raw, because you could be a new contender for the women's title. I can give you two words as to what got me hooked: “Dusty Rhodes!” I went to a live show with the two of them when I was 6 and “The Dream” was there. Ever since that day, I’ve been hooked!
Question: How's it going? I'm currently serving in the 173rd Airborne Brigade deployed to Afghanistan. I just wanted to thank you all SOOOOOOOO much for taking time out of your incredibly busy schedule to come and support us all over here fighting! I saw WWE when it came to Afghanistan back in 2005, and I have NEVER had so much fun in my life. It holds an incredibly special place in my heart. My question for you is this: I've seen the WWE Diva division go through some incredible changes the past five years, Divas like Trish, Lita and Molly worked their butts off night after night to make it where it is today, as you all do every time you go out. Do you ladies feel that the women's division has gained more respect because of the hard work, or do you all feel like you're still basically looked at as only eye candy ... which couldn't be further from the truth? - Chad

For one reason or another, you've been getting your fair share of flack from the Internet community. Everyone seems to have a strong opinion when it comes to Michelle McCool. Often at times, hardcore Michelle fans (we're yet to have a name!), will stick up for you, and then find ourselves in "Web wars." My question is: What advice would you give to your fans when we come across someone who is bashing you online? We want to stick up for you! Essentially, "What Would Michelle Do?" - Josie
Michelle McCool: Hey, Josie! Thanks for the kind words. Saying I’m on my A-game is awesome! I have to disagree with you on this one, only because there’s always room for improvement. It sure gives me the motivation I need to continue to improve and please our fans! You’re right, all of us get plenty of flack from the Internet community. That, I’m afraid, is never going to go away. They always say for every one person that likes you, there’s 100 that don’t. I guess the way I look at it (and it took me a long time … about 25 years to be exact) is that we simply can’t please everyone. And, you can drive yourself NUTS trying! Advice I would give for the “Web wars” is to “Stand up for what you believe in even if it means standing alone!!!!” I would probably be doing the same thing you are doing. I have no problem standing up for what I believe in, and that’s what we all should do. It should just be done in a classy, kind way. I hope that answers your questions. Thanks again for all you do! Question: Hi, Michelle. I live all the way in Australia and you're a great Diva! I was wondering if there are any WWE Australian Tours, because I really want to meet you. Is wrestling fake? Some people say it is and I don't know. I hope your eye gets better!
Michelle McCool: Hi there! I hope we come to Australia soon. It is beautiful there! Is wrestling fake? This is one of those questions that will get just about any Superstar fired-up. We go out there four or five (sometimes more) days a week and put our bodies on the line for our fans. Personally, I have had a broken xiphisternum, two broken ribs, a fractured nose, a sprained wrist and plenty of cuts, bumps and bruises. Saying this, my injuries have been minimal compared to the other guys and girls. There have been tons of knee injuries, broken necks, torn biceps, torn triceps, torn quadriceps … the list goes on. So, hopefully that answers your question. No, wrestling is not fake and I hope all of you guys truly appreciate it!
Question: Hello, Michelle. I think you're an awesome, talented athlete and WWE Diva. Before wrestling, you used to compete in fitness competitions, NPC per se. Michelle McCool: Hi, JP. First, thank you for the kind words. Yes, I did do some NPC (National Physique Committee, Inc.) competitions while I was in college. Man, I admire the athletes who do it year around. While I enjoyed performing on that stage, it’s not my cup of tea. I think I did it for the challenge more than anything.

I have a huge amount of respect for you because you have turned into a mighty fine wrestler. However, a fractured nose from Victoria certainly wasn't going to keep me out of the ring by any means (she's not that tough). I actually wrestled two straight nights in Europe after it happened! Faith, heart and soul.
Hey guys! I have been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to put my thoughts, feelings and adventures down on “paper” and touch base with my fans (which I love to do). And, it is way past due!
Let me start off by getting a little personal. As you all know, I am lovin’ life!!!! What you may or may not know is that it’s not always easy. It’s simply a choice I choose to make. We all get sick, frustrated, worn down, discouraged, annoyed and downright poopy (excuse my French) at times!
What it boils down to is whether or not you/we let it control us. For me, the key to lovin’ life is FAITH, HEART & SOUL! Faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within! These are the three things that get me through life, keep my spirits high, my dreams going and a smile on my face! If you’ve noticed over the past several months, I have been wearing this on TV … on my ring gear, tank tops, elbow sleeves, etc. … All I have to do is look down, see these words and remember that nothing can get in the way of my dream; the dreams that I currently live in!
SmackDown had the pleasure of going overseas last week. We performed four straight nights; two in Belfast, Ireland one in Frankfurt, Germany and the last night in Zurich, Switzerland. The shows were absolutely amazing, and the fans even better! BUT, in these four straight days, I fractured my nose (leaving me with two awesome black eyes and a lumpy, bloody, swollen nose – which I proudly wear as a badge of honor) and a VERY, VERY NEAR plane crash.
First, the nose! Now I don’t like to give Victoria ANY credit whatsoever, but she did land a great clothesline straight across my face and that takes talent (I hope you can hear the sarcasm in my voice)! She may have bloodied me, but she sure hasn’t beaten me!!! Mark my words, I will get revenge … and oh, how sweet it will be! I have the heart of a fighter and this is one fight she is NOT going to win!
Now, the near plane crash!!! Let me start by saying that I can sleep through anything ... and I mean anything, fire alarms, wake-up calls, hurricanes, etc. … But, this woke me up wide-eyed and white-knuckled!
We were headed into Zurich. The ride had been bumpy, due to turbulence, pretty much the entire ride. I woke up to what felt like one of those rides where they raise you way up in the air and then just drop you straight down. Normally, I would enjoy this, but I knew it wasn’t supposed to be happening. After we dropped so quickly, we literally shot straight up into the air. I could see the ground (we were supposed to land and were maybe about 3,000 feet high), which was pretty wicked.
Apparently, there was a slight mix-up with the air traffic control. I don’t know if they thought we had landed already or what, but they sent another plane to takeoff (which this is where the problem lies). The big drop we hit wasn’t due to turbulence; it was due to the force we felt when this other plane flew right by us. We shot straight up into the air (quick thinking on our pilots part) to avoid crashing into the plane. I don’t know how he was able to gain control. We attempted to land again, but didn’t. At this point, I really didn’t think we were going to make it.
I was pretty calm (probably just due to being tired from the tour) for the most part. The pilot came over the intercom and was speaking a different language. It clearly wasn’t English and all I could think is that he was telling us that we were about to die. Luckily, that wasn’t the case. Now there were lots of thoughts going through my head. Should I turn on my phone and try calling my parents? Should I go ahead and run up and down the aisle to tell everyone I loved them? Then I thought about a hat I have that says “Faith” on it. I have a lot of faith and that is what kept me calm. I began to meditate on the scripture that is inscribed on this hat:
“My heart shall not fear.” Psalm 27:3.
I closed my eyes and repeated this over and over again. After about 15 more scary minutes, we landed. Best part, we landed safely. What a close call!
No matter what you do, it’s all about faith, heart & soul! Dream big. Love Life!

Michelle McCool: Hi, Rockenmom! Sometimes it's hard to give ourselves credit, huh? To be honest, I am the same way. I think it's completely normal to be your own worst critic. Only problem is, if you don't love yourself, nobody is going to do it for you. God made each of us different and I know that you have been given many special gifts that you should be proud of. Try to remember to focus on the positive, do things that make you happy. My grandma always told me that you make the choice every morning ... no matter what the case may be; you can choose to be happy or sad, productive/ unproductive, silly/serious, etc. ... Keep your chin up! I know you have lots of things to love about yourself; you just have to accept who you are and your confidence will shine through.
Question: I have this girl that I really like in my class. Since you’re a girl, I thought you would know. So how do I know if she likes me back? - Anonymous
Michelle McCool: Hi there! This is a tough one. Sometimes it's really hard to get a good read on whether or not someone likes you or not. How do you feel? Do the two of you get along? Do you talk to her? Does she talk back? You can always drop subtle hints or try getting in good with her girlfriends. That way you can feel them out to see if they have the scoop for you. No matter what, don't change who you are. There's nothing sexier than a person who is confident in their own skin.
Question: My name is Leslie and I'm 13 years old. What should I do now as a teen to become a WWE Diva by the age 23? What strengths should I work on and what can I do to improve these strengths? What attributes should I have to become a WWE Diva? – Leslie
Michelle McCool: Hi, Leslie! I don't know that there is much you can do at 13 other than continue to focus on your dream. If you dream it, you can live it. My new motto (and if you notice, I have been wearing it on my ring gear) is that you have to have faith, heart & soul! With these things, ANYTHING is possible. Never lose focus because if you don't go after your dream, nobody else will!
Question: How do you keep up with all of SmackDown events? There is one every night. I saw a wrestling schedule and I was like, "OMG, how on earth do you do this!!??" So, what’s the secret? - Shannon
Michelle McCool: Hi, Shannon! Thanks for noticing that! A lot of people think we only do one show a week. ... Boy are they wrong? :) It is a crazy schedule and I don't think there is a secret. It's all about passion! If you love what you do, every minute is worth it!

Question: I have a few questions that I need to ask you. How do you stay in shape? If you were eating out on a date with somebody, which restaurant would you choose and why? If you retired from professional wrestling one day, would you go back to teaching or would you do something else? Do you like wrestling video games? And my final question is if you were the Women's Champion, would you take that title to SmackDown if given the option? -Michael
Michelle McCool: Hi Michael … let’s see if I can get these straight for you.
1. I try to stay in shape by working out consistently and eating healthy (90 percent of the time). It’s hard to get in regular workouts while on the road, so I have to get creative at times. I prefer to be outdoors walking or running, doing push-ups, sprinting and stretching. I also try to get to the arenas early and get in the ring, which is a great workout all alone.
2. That’s a tough one … depending on where we were, I’d probably go for sushi first. (I used to hate it, but it’s now one of my favorite foods – only the cooked kind for me, though.) After sushi, I love Cracker Barrel, Carraba’s and Outback Steakhouse!
3. If I were to retire from wrestling, I’m not sure what I would jump into first. I still have a lot of goals to accomplish here, so I honestly don’t think about it too much. I loved teaching and I am keeping my teaching certificate current so that I always do have the option to go back to the classroom!
4. I do like wrestling video games, I’m just not very good at them! There are entirely too many buttons for me!
5. If given the option, I would bring the title back to SmackDown! I think the Divas on SmackDown are wonderful athletes who have worked hard and are very deserving of having the title on their brand!
Question: I just joined the boys wrestling team in my high school. Do you think that's a good idea? I’m a little nervous of what people are going to think. I’m asking you this because I know how wrestling is often considered a “guy sport,” but I think its so cool how Divas are taking over WWE! Go Divas!! -Alyssa
Michelle: First off, you go, girl! I think it’s great that you are on the wrestling team. I’ve always had the attitude of, it doesn’t matter what others think. If you are doing something you love to do, then go for it! It’s only you who truly matters. If you don’t go after your dreams, someone else will!
Question: Hey, Michelle. I've been a smoker for 17 years and I'm thinking about trying to quit. Do you have any tips that could help me along the way? -Tammy
Michelle: Hi, Tammy! I think it’s great that you are trying to quit smoking. Wanting to do it and setting your mind to doing it are the first steps. I have never been a smoker or had an addiction, so I’m sure it’s easier said than done. However, I do know this: It’s not going to be easy. You are going to have days that are harder than others and days that you don’t think you are going to make it, which I can say I’ve had many of before. Just don’t give up! You can do ABSOLUTELY anything you put your mind do. Just think about how much quitting will benefit your health … and the health of those around you! Good luck!
Question: I am in high school and having a little trouble deciding on what I want to be. I was hoping you could help. I like all of the "girly" clothes, but I like punk/gothic clothes, as well. -Antonia
Michelle: Hi, Antonia. No matter where I’m at or who I’m around, I’ve always believed in being you. Clothes don’t define who you are, despite what some may say. Who says you can’t wear “girly” clothes one day, punk clothes the next, etc.? Just be yourself. I dress different all the time, depending on what type of mood I’m in. No matter what is covering my skin on the exterior, I’m always the same girl underneath. Be yourself – as long as you are comfortable and not trying to be someone or something you aren’t, your confidence will shine through!
Question: I'm 16 and I've always wanted to be a WWE Superstar. The only problem is my friends and family just find it to be a really big joke. Would you have any advice for me? -Pat
Michelle: Hi, Pat! I do believe in going to college and getting your education first. That way, you will always have something to fall back on! However, plain and simple, if you don’t go after your dreams, someone else will.
Question: Are you a Christian and if so how do you keep that going while on the road with the WWE? -Matt
Michelle: Hi, Matt! Yes, I am a Christian. I don’t think it’s a matter of keeping it going on the road; it’s a matter of continuing to grow in your relationship no matter where you are at. Just because I’m “on the road” doesn’t mean I am a different person.
Question: You said you could give out college football picks, so I'd like to see just how good you are. Pick any five games you want against the spread for the remainder of the season, and I will pick my five games against the spread, and we'll see who does better at the end of the season. I know it’s not your style, but if I win you have to agree to take me out to the five-star restaurant of my choosing and pay for it all. Or when you someday win the Women’s Championship, you have to dedicate it to me. Your choice.

Michelle: To be honest, I don’t watch much arena football, but I am a fan. My brother played arena ball and I had a blast watching those games. They are intense and exciting, to say the least. Yes, I do watch the NFL, though I enjoy college more. My favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though he’s retired, I’m a Jerome Bettis fan!
Question: I know that you have heard JBL saying that you will be the next Mrs. JBL. You have never responded to those comments. So, do you care to comment now? -Scott
Michelle: What do you say to that, Scott? JBL is pretty strongly opinionated, huh? I have heard him say that a time or two. At first I thought he was just being JBL – you know, a little loud and a tad bit arrogant – but then he kept saying it week after week. To be honest, JBL isn’t my type, so I don’t really see that in my future. He’s a little too much for me! He is pretty persistent though.

If you retired from professional wrestling one day, would you go back to teaching or would you do something else? Do you like wrestling video games? And my final question is if you were the Women's Champion, would you take that title to SmackDown if given the option? -Michael
Michelle McCool: Hi Michael … let’s see if I can get these straight for you.
1. I try to stay in shape by working out consistently and eating healthy (90 percent of the time). It’s hard to get in regular workouts while on the road, so I have to get creative at times. I prefer to be outdoors walking or running, doing push-ups, sprinting and stretching. I also try to get to the arenas early and get in the ring, which is a great workout all alone.
2. That’s a tough one … depending on where we were, I’d probably go for sushi first. (I used to hate it, but it’s now one of my favorite foods – only the cooked kind for me, though.) After sushi, I love Cracker Barrel, Carraba’s and Outback Steakhouse!
3. If I were to retire from wrestling, I’m not sure what I would jump into first. I still have a lot of goals to accomplish here, so I honestly don’t think about it too much. I loved teaching and I am keeping my teaching certificate current so that I always do have the option to go back to the classroom!
4. I do like wrestling video games, I’m just not very good at them! There are entirely too many buttons for me!
5. If given the option, I would bring the title back to SmackDown! I think the Divas on SmackDown are wonderful athletes who have worked hard and are very deserving of having the title on their brand!
Question: I just joined the boys wrestling team in my high school. Do you think that's a good idea? I’m a little nervous of what people are going to think. I’m asking you this because I know how wrestling is often considered a “guy sport,” but I think its so cool how Divas are taking over WWE! Go Divas!! -Alyssa
Michelle: First off, you go, girl! I think it’s great that you are on the wrestling team. I’ve always had the attitude of, it doesn’t matter what others think. If you are doing something you love to do, then go for it! It’s only you who truly matters. If you don’t go after your dreams, someone else will!
Question: Hey, Michelle. I've been a smoker for 17 years and I'm thinking about trying to quit. Do you have any tips that could help me along the way? -Tammy
Michelle: Hi, Tammy! I think it’s great that you are trying to quit smoking. Wanting to do it and setting your mind to doing it are the first steps. I have never been a smoker or had an addiction, so I’m sure it’s easier said than done. However, I do know this: It’s not going to be easy. You are going to have days that are harder than others and days that you don’t think you are going to make it, which I can say I’ve had many of before. Just don’t give up! You can do ABSOLUTELY anything you put your mind do. Just think about how much quitting will benefit your health … and the health of those around you! Good luck!
Question: I am in high school and having a little trouble deciding on what I want to be. I was hoping you could help. I like all of the "girly" clothes, but I like punk/gothic clothes, as well. -Antonia
Michelle: Hi, Antonia. No matter where I’m at or who I’m around, I’ve always believed in being you. Clothes don’t define who you are, despite what some may say. Who says you can’t wear “girly” clothes one day, punk clothes the next, etc.? Just be yourself. I dress different all the time, depending on what type of mood I’m in. No matter what is covering my skin on the exterior, I’m always the same girl underneath. Be yourself – as long as you are comfortable and not trying to be someone or something you aren’t, your confidence will shine through!
Question: I'm 16 and I've always wanted to be a WWE Superstar. The only problem is my friends and family just find it to be a really big joke. Would you have any advice for me? -Pat
Michelle: Hi, Pat! I do believe in going to college and getting your education first. That way, you will always have something to fall back on! However, plain and simple, if you don’t go after your dreams, someone else will.
Question: Are you a Christian and if so how do you keep that going while on the road with the WWE? -Matt
Michelle: Hi, Matt! Yes, I am a Christian. I don’t think it’s a matter of keeping it going on the road; it’s a matter of continuing to grow in your relationship no matter where you are at. Just because I’m “on the road” doesn’t mean I am a different person.
Question: You said you could give out college football picks, so I'd like to see just how good you are. Pick any five games you want against the spread for the remainder of the season, and I will pick my five games against the spread, and we'll see who does better at the end of the season. I know it’s not your style, but if I win you have to agree to take me out to the five-star restaurant of my choosing and pay for it all. Or when you someday win the Women’s Championship, you have to dedicate it to me. Your choice.

Question: I just have to say you are one of the prettiest Divas in WWE history. It sounds like you are a pretty big sports fan, overall. Who are your favorite college football teams? -Bill
Michelle: Thank you, Bill! My favorite college team is my alma mater: FLORIDA STATE! Go Seminoles!
Question: Do you also watch the NFL or Arena Football? If so, what are your favorite teams?
Michelle: To be honest, I don’t watch much arena football, but I am a fan. My brother played arena ball and I had a blast watching those games. They are intense and exciting, to say the least. Yes, I do watch the NFL, though I enjoy college more. My favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though he’s retired, I’m a Jerome Bettis fan!
Question: I know that you have heard JBL saying that you will be the next Mrs. JBL. You have never responded to those comments. So, do you care to comment now? -Scott
Michelle: What do you say to that, Scott? JBL is pretty strongly opinionated, huh? I have heard him say that a time or two. At first I thought he was just being JBL – you know, a little loud and a tad bit arrogant – but then he kept saying it week after week. To be honest, JBL isn’t my type, so I don’t really see that in my future. He’s a little too much for me! He is pretty persistent though.
